Todays trail turned out exactly as expected. Muddy, rainy, slippery, very very wet, beautiful, fallen tress en mass and billions of yellow leaves. The most beautiful trail I have seen in months and just 15- 20 minutes from home. Downside: My second crash just before the end took a hard crack on my right wrist – gonna hurt for another 6 weeks.
It has taken a while to recover just faintly but now I really am back in Denmark, Europe. Even before the plane had touched the ground, I was employed to be a manager in a building business.
Things have been going fast ever since and my family and I have returned to our old home and slowly we are settling down again. I never stopped running but slowed it down a bit to keep my head above water.
Now I`m putting on distance and speed again. A week ago I joined our local Sky Mountain Trail Race and had a great time with some good running friends. Improved my time and speed from last years ditto – something I picked up in the Perth Hills I Imagine with all the lovely Phatties.
I miss my running mates, gals n` guys and friends from Down Under and feel like they just are around the corner, waiting for me and a great trail trip in the hills and parks.
Anyhow I feel lucky that everyone back home here have taken me into their arms and welcomed me back in so many ways. Its hard to believe that we even have been away and it feels like a dream.
But the experience was even better than a dream so that makes me certain that all that good was so very true and precious. Thank you to all that made it an adventure; Phatties big time, PTS racers, Family Kinikini, Yanchep DHS, Yanchep Beach Lagoon and Yanchep National Park. Love and miss you all.
